Class 1 and 2 Walkmill Workshops

Class 1 and Class 2 had a fantastic time exploring nature during a visit to Walkmill Woods! We went on a nature walk and learned more about the fascinating animals and habitats that can be found around our local area.

As well as spotting signs of some of the usual woodland animals, we discovered that adders also live in the wooded areas. We were very excited to learn about these fascinating reptiles and find out more about the wildlife on our doorstep.

We also explored a brand-new pond that was created just three months ago. We had lots of fun pond dipping and were amazed by the creatures we discovered living in the water. We found pond mites, dragonfly nymphs and water stick insects!

It was a fantastic opportunity for us to get outside, explore nature and discover some of the amazing wildlife living in the habitats around us. What a wonderful day of learning and discovery!
