Musicians visit Mr Tyson's studio for a recording session. Mr P's band pictured
13 of our musicians visited Mr Tyson's Music Farm studio on Friday of last week, where they recorded some of the songs they've been playing this year.
First up was the Development Band, who recorded As It Was, Shotgun and Message in a Bottle to backing tracks. They did brilliantly as it was the first time in a studio for most of them. They asked good questions about how the recording process works, and played their hearts out when it came to getting the songs recorded.
In the afternoon, it was the turn of Mr P's band - our most experienced musicians - some of whom had been on last year's trip to the Music Farm. This time they recorded Blitzkreig Bop, The Show Must Go On and It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine), playing all of them live and learning about overdubbing as they went.
It was an excellent session, enjoyed by all, and the recordings are being made available for the children and their families via Seesaw.
