Year 2 Pupils Take the Lead in Class Novel Time!

Our Year 2 children have been developing their confidence and leadership skills by taking on the exciting role of reading the class novel aloud to their classmates.

This week, Ivy and Brooke did a fantastic job leading the story. They read with clear, expressive voices that kept everyone engaged and brought the characters to life. To make the experience even more enjoyable, they used the classroom visualiser to display the illustrations from the book, allowing everyone to follow along and appreciate the wonderful pictures as the story unfolded.

Class Two listened brilliantly, and it was wonderful to see Ivy and Brooke showing such confidence, enthusiasm and responsibility. Reading aloud not only helps to develop fluency and expression but also inspires a love of books and storytelling across the whole class.

Well done, Ivy and Brooke—we are so proud of the brilliant example you set for your classmates. We can't wait to see more of our Year 2 readers taking the lead in the weeks ahead!
